Key-by-Key Sampling
Every reed captured individually. Played softly, it purrs like a vibraphone. Each key keeps its own voice and temper.
Multiple Velocity Layers
The famous bark lives in the dynamics: strike harder and the reeds overdrive into that growling midrange. The full dynamic arc is preserved across velocity layers.
Vibrato, Both Ways
The built-in vibrato is half the charm of the instrument. Every key is sampled with and without it, switchable just like on the original panel.

An Icon, Preserved
The reeds snap, and every replacement is hand-tuned with solder: no two instruments age alike. This library documents one of them, faithfully, for good.
The bark of soul. The purr of ballads.
The instrument behind this library is a Wurlitzer 200A: the classic American electric piano, built from the 1950s onward, that makes its sound with hammers striking steel reeds over an electrostatic pickup. A mechanism found in no other instrument: soft, it shimmers; hard, it barks.
That voice carried decades of soul, rock and pop. But the instrument is famously fragile: reeds snap mid-song, replacements must be tuned by hand with drops of solder, and the amplifiers hum with age. Every surviving unit is a little different, and slowly becoming rarer.
No two reed pianos age alike. This one is worth remembering.
